 C&E Sample Poem

Here's one example of the type of writing we like:

Death Waits for Me
by Douglas I. Thompson

Death waits for me
In the silent asylums
Beyond dawn's reach
Beyond night's eternity
It lies in quiet slumber
Beneath moonlit currents
And in darkened alleyways
Death caresses warm on the throat
Like the breath of a lover
Or the touch of new sunlight
